A new campaign by Publicis Seattle taps young talent for a film about growing up
Since 1986, American Girl has made empowering young women a part of the company's DNA. The Mattel subsidiary is best known for its dolls and positive media for girls.
"For Girls, By Girls" is a campaign crafted by Publicis Seattle launched on YouTube and Hulu that gives girls a voice behind the camera. The film is a partnership with Adolescent Content, which is a production collective dedicated to giving young people a hand in the art of content creation.
The talent behind the videos includes a Vine superstar, a 13-year-old novelist penning her second book, and a 17-year-old wunderkind photographer on Flickr.
