Leo Burnett asked viewers to vote for their favorite real-life home-improvement snafu
Allstate’s Mayhem character takes a turn for the personal in this latest spot from the insurance company. During the Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day, Allstate presented teaser ads showcasing real-life tales of DIY projects gone horribly wrong, and asked viewers to vote which one they most wanted to see dramatized in a full ad. The winner — a story about a man who busted his house by using a chainsaw without proper instruction — was revealed during the National Championship Game on Jan. 11. Both the teasers and the winner were produced by Leo Burnett Chicago.
