Albion has won a contested pitch to handle the creative advertising for Glorious!, which makes soups, sauces and dips that are sold in Tesco stores.

Albion beat three agencies to win the pitch for the business, and is now tasked with providing strategic consultancy and creative services in a bid to make the brand a "household name" within the next five years. There was no intermediary involved in the pitch.

This is the first time that Glorious!, which is owned by TSC Foods, has appointed a creative agency. It used to handle any marketing work in-house.

Jason Goodman, Albion’s chief executive, said: "Glorious! is an exciting brand with a playful personality. They are about to embark on an aggressive growth plan as a challenger brand and we’re thrilled to have partnered with them on this journey."

Gavin White, the marketing controller at Glorious!, said: "Albion has all the right ingredients to be our strategic consultancy and creative partner.

"We have really ambitious targets for the year ahead and with Albion we believe we can find the secret sauce to reach them."
