Al Gore on how political advertising distorts the truth and the role of social media

Al Gore took to the stage in Cannes, interviewed by Sir Martin Sorrell - who believes Hilary Clinton will win the presidential race.

In the wide ranging conversation, Gore said we needed "an informed and engaged citizenry" and social media provided the tools for that.

He added that big money distorts campaigns and it should not take the lead in driving the agenda.

Although Gore wouldn't comment, Sorrell said that he believed Hilary Clinton would win the presidential election. "It would be great to have a female president. That possibility would be the most powerful thing," said Sorrell.
