Agency creatives release new sexual consent PSA, found nonprofit

Brock Turner's early release from jail prompts simple, clear message

On Friday morning, former Stanford University swimmer Brock Turner leaves jail, just three months after being convicted of sexual assault. The news spurred the sexual consent awareness campaign, the KnowNo Project to release its first PSA. The 80-second online spot was filmed on the streets of Chicago, with actors who appeared to be sleeping, wearing shirts that say "If I can’t say no, I can’t say yes." Two of the founders of KnowNo are creatives at the marcom agency MARC USA, which made the PSA. The music for the spot is "Till It Happens to You," donated to the campaign by songwriters Lady Gaga and Diane Warren. An accompanying website provides a quiz on consent and resources for victims of sexual assault.
