Agencies line up for global UNICEF comms

Sources report the UN charity is approaching agencies directly

UNICEF has reportely issued a brief to find an agency to help unify its disparate branding around the world.

Sources said the United Nations children’s charity approached agencies directly over the past week. It wants a global network and preferably one that has offices in New York and Geneva.

The brief is for global communications and strategy, with a contract length of three years. Unicef’s communications and fundraising are currently managed on a country-by-country basis and the charity wants to be more consistent with its messaging.

The winning network will create a global brand identity as well as develop fundraising campaigns. It will also be charged with growing UNICEF’s online presence.

UNICEF presently uses a range of agencies for creative campaigns, having worked with Atomic London in the UK and Forsman & Bodenfors in Sweden.

The organization did not respond to Campaign’s request for comment.
