SapientNitro used a customer's actual phone call to create spot for security system brand
It’s rare that customer service gets accolades for promoting a nonexistent product. But the quick thinking of Xavier Rollins, a phone rep for ADT security systems, set a young boy's mind at ease in a call that’s been immortalized as an endearing animated spot by SapientNitro. When Katie Carubba’s 9-year-old son Benjamin expressed a paralyzing fear of ghosts, she turned to a brand that was already allaying her real-world fears. The digital spot is a marked turn from traditional security system advertising, which usually features masked men and ominous violins. It debuted on National Ghost Hunting Day early this week.
