Campaign US sits down with gaming creators Jalon and ThatNerdViolet who dish on brand deals and misogyny in the space.

Women are more visible in gaming than ever before, with nearly half (46%) of gamers identifying as women, according to a study from games market data tracking website Newzoo. 

Women are more frequently establishing careers in esports and gaming content creation, too. Despite their growing presence, however, many still face a pay gap in brand partnerships and sexualization from gaming audiences.

In this video, Twitch streamers and content creators Jalon and ThatNerdViolet chat about their experiences working in the space, dishing on what roles platforms such as Twitch have in protecting their creators, brand expectations and how they’ve carved out a space for themselves.
