Lavazza, the Italian coffee brand, has appointed WPP's Y&R network to handle its international advertising account.
The work will be led out of the Y&R Milan office in Italy, which is also where Lavazza’s head office is based.
Y&R agencies in the U.S., Canada, Germany, France, Russia, Brazil and Australia will work with Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe in the U.K. on the business.
RKCR/Y&R will create an international ad campaign as Lavazza plans to raise its profile in international markets.
Armando Testa Group, which did not take part in the pitch, remains the lead agency in Italy for brand management.
