Snack maker gives away dip in online promotional campaign

If it's not on your calendar already, Monday is National Chip and Dip Day. While the "holiday" will not get you a day off work, it could get you free dip from Tostitos in a campaign by Goodby Silverstein & Partners.

The Pepsi-owned snack brand is giving free dip to everyone in the US named Chip. They are also extending this to anyone in a city named "Chip" such as Chippewa Falls, Minn., and other "chip-esque" cities.

Website EveryChipGetsADip.com lets the "Chips" of the nation apply. The site also spells out the loose requirements for "chip-ness" such as "a note from your mom, ANYTHING."

An announcement video for the campaign features NFL coach Chip Kelly, who starred in previous spots for the company.
