The candy brand tells a tale in time for tax season

It's tax time in the US, and filers seek to write-off business expenses. Snickers has rolled out an online film, created by BBDO New York, about a write-off close to the brand's heart.

In 2005, an Arizona woman attempted to write-off a Snickers bar. While the Mars Inc. brand is known for irreverent advertising, this is no joke. The case went to court, with the decision "We find that the Mars Snickers bar is personal." If you don't believe it, here are the court documents.

While this is a true story, the video does contain some humor. A doctor explains it was necessary for her health. Snickers tries to "make things right" by delivering a check for 89¢.
