When this account manager isn't listening to Apple Music playlists, he's kicking it old-school with vinyl records and paper books.

The Recommendation Engine is Campaign US' weekly feature in which we learn about the media young people in the ad industry are currently consuming. This week, we get to know Donald Hair, account manager at social media agency The Social Element.

What I’m watching
Currently, I am preparing for the May 30th binge of season five of "House of Cards" by rewatching previous seasons of the show on Netflix. Keeping up with the trend of twisted political thrillers, I’ve recently become obsessed with "Billions" on Showtime. I’m beginning to realize that I have a soft spot for corrupt fictional politicians. To stay informed on current events, I rely on HBO’s "Vice News," "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" and "Real Time with Bill Maher" via DirecTV Now’s streaming cable service.

What I’m listening to
The "Beats 1 List" on Apple Music gives me the Coachella music festival vibes without having to camp in the middle of the desert. The playlist updates weekly on Mondays and I’d argue it’s the perfect way to get over the Monday grog. The Apple Music gurus compile the perfect mix of mainstream artists and those rising in the ranks. In true hipster and millennial fashion, I have a rule that classics should only be listened to on vinyl. You can’t go wrong with Sam Cooke, Stevie Wonder or Otis Redding played on vinyl.

What I’m reading
No electronic device will ever be able to replace the feeling of turning the page of a book. I make weekly trips to the local public library to check out the latest selection of new releases and to choose what story to get lost in. Most recently, I read "Uganda be Kidding Me" by Chelsea Handler. This was recommended by a friend based on my love of traveling. After reading of Handler’s misfortunes and experiences while traveling with a group of friends, I will be choosing future travel companions March Madness bracket style.

Who I’m following
Instagram has become the easiest way to pass time. With the scroll of a finger, I can get vacation ideas, laugh at memes and get a head start on investigating the latest Starbucks Frappuccino concoction. Unicorn Fraps are so April 2017. Have you heard of the Mermaid Frap? Get on that.

I follow a lot of travel accounts to get ideas for future trips. I follow @natgeotravel and @travelandleisure on Instagram to tag along on their many trips via their Instagram Stories. To get my daily dose of laughter, @unscripted provides hilarious yet relatable memes.
