The senior digital strategist talks about binging on Marvel's "Luke Cage," his preference for physical books and his fantasy football plight

The Recommendation Engine is Campaign US' weekly feature in which we learn about the media young people in the ad industry are currently consuming. This week, we get to know Matt Lang, a senior digital strategist at digital agency Rain.


What I'm watching
Trying not to binge through "Luke Cage" too quickly on Netflix. I love all the Marvel shows on Netflix and how they tie together. It's fun to follow all the cross-over characters.


What I'm listening to
I'm a big fan of the Beats 1 Radio shows on Apple Music. It's cool to hear artists host their own shows and share their tastes—Baauer's Studio B is one I've been into lately. I've also been listening to the new Tycho album, Epoch, at work on Spotify. It's great music to work to.


What I'm reading
I'm currently reading Chuck Klosterman's "But What If We're Wrong?" I've been a fan of his for years—he has a knack for presenting obscure knowledge and analyzing pop culture in an intriguing and humorous way. I still prefer physical books to e-readers. It provides a nice break from screens when I'm on the train in the morning or at home.


Who I'm following
I've been following Fred Wilson and his daily blog, avc.com for a while now. The posts are typically short and always informative. I've gotten insight into new technology, trends and products many times from his postings. I subscribe to the blog via email and usually read it on my phone in the morning.


What I'm ignoring
I am trying to ignore how badly I'm doing in our office fantasy football league—I was projected to do much better! It's been a tough season so far.
