This copywriter has been mourning the end of HBO's dark comedy "Big Little Lies." To lift her spirits, she follows colorful design blogs and social accounts.

The Recommendation Engine is Campaign US' weekly feature in which we learn about the media young people in the ad industry are currently consuming. This week, we get to know Leah Douglas, copywriter at Havas New York.

What I’m watching
I’m not watching it anymore, because it’s over, but "Big Little Lies." Can we all have a moment of silence for that finale? Such a great mini-series, from cinematography to storyline. Also currently watching "The Young Pope" and "Last Man on Earth," both of which I stream on my TV.

What I’m listening to
The "Big Little Lies" soundtrack. If you haven’t listened, some lovely person curated a Spotify playlist. Also, Drake’s "More Life." I know I might get dragged through the coals for this, but I’m not the biggest fan. However, I’m patiently waiting for Lana Del Rey to drop "Lust for Life."

What I’m reading
I’m currently reading "Black Flags: The Rise of Isis" by Joby Warrick. I’m a traditionalist when it comes to literature, so no Kindle necessary, just a classic paperback. I’m an avid non-fiction reader, but also fascinated with all things war and history. Our current global state is a lot to wrap your head around and I think it’s important to know where it all started. It’s an eye-opening and fascinating read. I also subscribe to Time magazine. It’s my trusted, weekly and non-biased means of staying informed.

Who I’m following
This site is on my bookmark bar and I visit it on the daily for inspiration and interesting content, so I had to give it a shout-out. It’s called swissmiss and it’s a design blog and studio run by Tina Eisenberg, a Swiss designer living in New York City.

Equally as important, I recently discovered @KatMaconie on Instagram, I’m a shoe lady and her eye-popping design style and footwear won me over. Give her a follow!

What I’m ignoring
Dating apps. There are too many—Bumble, Tinder, Happn, The League, Inner Circle etc.— and they all leave you feeling sick from swiping and completely overwhelmed. With work, dating isn’t my first priority right now, so I’ve opted to meet people "organically" if you will. We’ll see how that goes…
