Mortal enemies get petty in hilarious 'Halo Wars 2' send-ups

215McCann pits Captain Cutter and General Atriox in a battle of wits over a '93 hatchback.

Ads for the blockbuster "Halo" video game franchise rely on slow-motion explosions, voiceovers brimming with pathos and soaring musical accompaniment. But two new 60-second spots for the upcoming real-time strategy game "Halo Wars 2" by 215McCann play against type, to hysterical effect. Human hero Captain Cutter and his giant alien antagonist General Atriox apply their considerable intellects to banal, real-world one-upmanship. Atriox needs to meet his monthly quota at the car dealership, and Cutter deals with a nightmare of a seatmate while flying coach. The campaign is running globally on social, Snapchat and YouTube bumpers and on broadcast TV in the UK.
