Hypnotist turns stressed shoppers into ecstatic kids in delightful Walmart spot

Saatchi & Saatchi New York brings in Chris Jones to give the gift of childlike wonder

Christmas loses its luster when you’re the one responsible for buying all the presents. To help some of its customers recapture the carefree magic of Christmases past, Walmart hired a hypnotist—yes, a hypnotist—to convince them they were kids again. The three-and-a-half minute spot by Saatchi & Saatchi NY puts a half-dozen adults under the spell of Chris Jones, the hypnotist who put Howie Mandel to sleep last year during America’s Got Talent. Mandel, an obsessive-compulsive germophobe, was able to shake hands while under Jones’ influence. The Saatchi spot debuted on Facebook, Snapchat and YouTube Monday.
