The French communications giant's North American revenues were $180 million

Havas has reported overall organic growth of 6 percent in its third-quarter results.

The French marketing services group generated quarterly revenues of $554 million, up from $513 million in the same period last year.

Larger rival Publicis Groupe recently reported organic growth of 1 percent.

According to CEO Yannick Bolloré, "These highly satisfactory results, and the growth in net new business (of an estimated $514 million in annualized revenue) underscore the effectiveness of our 'Together' strategy, which we introduced at the start of the year."

About half of the group’s revenue comes from Europe, where it experienced organic growth of 6.7 percent, including 8.6 percent in the U.K.

North American revenues came in at $180 million, with organic growth of 4.7 percent.

New business won during the quarter included Cake’s project for Virgin Atlantic’s introduction of its new Boeing 787 fleet.
