Five professional athletes star in four video spots announcing new shoes at Foot Locker

BBDO New York rounded up a quirky mix of professional athletes to help Foot Locker announce its "Week of Greatness," which begins on Saturday and features the release of more than 60 styles of athletic shoes and sneakers.

The agency developed four video spots. In one, boxer Manny Pacquiao overhears two kids talking about how Foot Locker is "finally giving the people what they want." Pacquiao mistakenly assumes they are talking about his long-sought bid to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr.

In another, WWE wrestler John Cena overhears two kids say the week is too good to be real. Cena dead-pans that not everything good has to be real.

The third spot features NBA star James Harden, frequently criticized for his lack of defensive abilities. When asked if he is going to the Week of Greatness, Harden becomes literally defensive.

And Tim Duncan, the two-time NBA MVP known for showing no emotion, "freaks out" when MVP Derrick Rose tells him the Week of Greatness is back. Freaking out, for Duncan, means slowly and deliberately turning a potted plant on its side.

The work is running on ESPN and other sports programming through Dec. 1.
