Sports network offers a humorous take on the identity of Super Bowl 2015's costumed stars

ESPN's "This Is SportsCenter" campaign took a topical turn this week with a spot that makes sport of the sharks in Katy Perry's Super Bowl 2015 halftime show.

In this spot from Wieden + Kennedy New York, two people in shark costumes like the ones featured during Perry's performance emerge from a car outside the network's Bristol, Conn., office.

The "left shark" (as dubbed by the media) is ESPN SportsCenter anchor Bram Weinstein. "Left shark" was snubbed in professional and social media for being out of sync during the halftime dance routine.

Inquiring if he was out of sync, Weinstein's co-anchor John Anderson replies, "No, and if you were, I bet no one even noticed."
