Chance the Rapper and Nike drop a star-spangled ode to the Olympic basketball teams

Wieden + Kennedy New York brings music to the brand's "Unlimited" campaign

Nike Basketball has created an Olympic anthem meant to unite the women’s and men’s teams in Rio and their fans back home. The two-and-a-half minute song penned by notoriously independent Chicago musician Chance the Rapper is available on Spotify today after hitting iTunes earlier this week. It’s part of Nike’s "Unlimited" campaign by Wieden + Kennedy. Athletes from both Olympic teams appear in the accompanying video. The patriotically appropriate lyrics are based off "The Star-Spangled Banner." It’s not the first time Chance has used an iconic song as inspiration – in 2014, he released a melodic interpretation of the theme song to the 90s children’s television show "Arthur," originally recorded by Ziggy Marley.
