Brooks Running brings an endorsement deal to the masses

Leo Burnett Chicago signs up more than 20,000 runners for official sponsorships.

Rather than settle on a single, famous athlete to sponsor for a few million dollars, Brooks Running has democratized the endorsement model. Now, any runner, no matter how accomplished or experienced, can claim their own endorsement from Brooks, complete with a check for $1 and an athlete number and card. A 60-second spot from Leo Burnett Chicago lays out the offer, a deal that more than 20,000 runners leapt at on its first day.
