BBDO charged into the top spot of R3’s global new business chart for July with AT&T’s consolidation with Omnicom. The agency jumped 50 places to the first position amongst creative and digital shops. Sister agency DDB also moved up one ranking to number six with the global win for SEAT, part of the Volkswagen Group. Amongst media agencies, Omnicom’s Hearts & Science took on their second client after P&G in AT&T, but the win was still not enough to move sister agency PHD off the number one position. Across the pond, WPP’s Team Connect (a division of GroupM) had the biggest win in Europe with the BT media consolidation.
In the US, McCann followed BBDO with the addition of Chik-Fil-A, previously handled by The Richards Group, and Publicis won all of Hewlett Packard Enterprise from Omnicom. Amongst media agencies, Hearts & Science topped the chart with AT&T and DirecTV, followed by MediaCom, with FanDuel, and Universal McCann, with BMW.
Behind the BBDO AT&T review, McCann picked up some spots winning Chik-Fil-A from The Richards Group, and Publicis aligned all of Hewlett Packard Enterprise from Omnicom. Looking at media agencies , Omnicom’s Hearts & Science led the way with MediaCom’s FanDuel win and Universal McCann’s BMW success the next largest this month.
