Bacardi's customers are creatures of the night in brand's largest campaign ever

Academy Award winner Michel Gondry directs spot from BBDO New York

Rum and spirits giant Barcardi enlists Oscar-winning talent for its new integrated campaign out today, the brand’s most expensive yet. Michel Gondry, best known for "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," directed the 30-second spot by BBDO New York. It follows a taxi passenger on a late-night tour of a city’s nightlife, populated by denizens of the darkness like "Brave Shirts," who peacock loudly in the latest fashions, "Glow Gals" buried in their smartphones, Careless Dancers and Midnight Feasters. Bacardi’s bat logo also takes flight in the waning seconds of the spot. The ad debuts on primetime TV Wednesday night and will run during NBC’s Tonight Show.
